Today, I am going to show you exactly how to download & install the XRay mod in Minecraft. The XRay mod will allow you to be able to see through blocks in order for you to easily find diamonds, ores, caves, mineshafts, and more! XRay can help speed up survival Minecraft or help you find cool cave systems or even ocean monuments. No matter what you're looking for, the XRay mod will help you look through blocks and find it! How To Download & Install The XRay Mod in Minecraft

Step 1) Download & Install Forge

Before you can get the XRay mod up and running, you will need to download and install Forge. The good news is we have a tutorial that will teach you EXACTLY how to do just that. Downloading the XRay Mod to Install It in Minecraft

Step 2) Download The XRay Mod

After Forge has been installed, you need to download the XRay mod. Doing this is pretty easy. Just click here, or the download button below, to go to the XRay mod download page. Once you're there, you just need to click the green button that says 'Download' in the top right-hand corner of the screen. This will then automatically download the most recent versions of the XRay mod!

Note: If you want a previous version of the XRay mod, you can find those here. Just be sure that the older version you download is compatible with the Forge version that you have installed.

How To Get To The .minecraft Folder to Install The XRay Mod

Step 3) Get To The '.minecraft' Folder

This is one of the more complicated steps to follow with text when it comes to installing the XRay mod, so I have provided a GIF of this process above. Nevertheless, in order to install the XRay mod, you will need to get to the '.minecraft' folder. To do this, hit the 'Windows Key', which is to the left of the space bar, and the 'R' key on your keyboard at the same time. This will open up a program called 'Run'.

Once the 'Run' program is open, simply type '%appdate%' into the search box. This will then open up your 'Roaming' app data folder. Here, you should see a folder called '.minecraft'. It will most likely be at the very top. Once you've found it, double-click on it to open it up. Congrats! You have completed the most difficult part of downloading and installing the XRay mod.

How To Download & Install Minecraft Mods

Step 4) Make Sure You Have A 'Mods' Folder

Before we can install the XRay mod, we need to make sure we have a place to put it. In order to do this, just find the 'mods' folder inside the '.minecraft' folder we located in Step 3. If you don't have a mods folder, no worries! Simply create a brand new folder, and name it 'mods' all lower case. After you've found the mods folder, open it; it's time to finally get the XRay mod installed!

Step 5) Install The XRay Mod

Installing the XRay mod is pretty easy. Simply drag and drop the file you downloaded in Step 2 into the 'mods' folder we found in the previous step. This effectively installs the mod in Minecraft, but you are not done yet. There is still one more thing you need to do before you can start enjoying the XRay mod.

Step 6) Select The Correct Version of Minecraft

You are almost there! The last thing you need to do in order to play Minecraft with the XRay mod is select the 'forge' version of Minecraft you installed in Step 1. In order to do this, open up the normal Minecraft launcher, and click the little arrow next to the 'Play' button. This will open up all of the Minecraft versions you currently have downloaded on your computer. In this list, find the version titled 'forge', and click it. Next, click play, and you are done! The XRay mod is now officially installed in Minecraft!

Step 7) Play The Game & Have Some Fun!
