When asked about how the sequel pays tribute to Boseman, Gurira made it articulate that Wakanda Forever is "all most him" and that she and her team did their best to "love and...honor" him throughout the movie:
"I call up beautifully, and I'1000 very thankful for how our amazing director/writer handled that. It's all almost him, and for all of u.s.a., it's all an outpouring to love and to accolade him."
